Not sure if I definitively believe in soulmates, but... [I Believe In Soulmates]

I really like the idea of two souls finding each other again and again across many different lifetimes. Like, you're reincarnated into a different person after you die, and so is your soulmate, but nevertheless you two are destined to find each other again.

I know it's unrealistic, that there's no way to prove it. And I know that there would be some downsides to that too; maybe it's better to be able to connect to many different people, not just the same soul over and over again. Maybe reincarnation would be awful, having to repeat life and re-experience its sufferings after death, like you don't get a respite, you're Sisyphus endlessly rolling the stone up the hill.

But, I don't know, I still like the idea of it. It feels romantic, magical in a way.
