I don't know how someone could keep up a lie for so long.

It started to slip, but he held on to it for almost 2 years. I am just in shock. I fell for an emotionally/sexually abusive man and I didn't see it because he had me so subdued by getting me to smoke. But, I realize the truth now and I will never talk to him ever again. I wish I had proof to press charges.
