I Love My Teacher

I had the best math teacher last year. She taught a very small geometry class of 17 students and she explained EVERYTHING so we would understand it and she even told us WHY it works. In our textbook there were a few chapters about trig. My classmates and I didn't know what trig was but when we skimmed through the book at the beginning of the year it looked confusing and we were stressing about it for the whole year. We were always like, please let the new chapter be anything but trig. Then one day the teacher started teaching us about sine and cosine and things like that. She didn't even tell us that it was a new chapter. She explained it so well that we were really confident and then she said, that's called trigonometry, and we were like what? that's trig? it isn't that bad. she was like yes that's trig and I didn't tell you because I thought otherwise I would just freak you out and you wouldn't understand it. she was the best teacher.

What a great teacher. For some people, the reason they can't learn math is that what the teacher is saying is being drowned out by the voice in their heads saying "I can't learn math!"
The world needs more teachers like her.
