i miss my italian american friend 'joannie'

[c=7700B2][i]17 years ago i met an elderly woman through a site called yahoo answers and we were good friends ever since, she was called joannie and lived in san diego and was italian american, i am british italian so we had something in common from the start...she became the best friend i never had and would send me over gifts from the states, she bought me some sony noise cancelling headphones sent me a large sum of money through paypal....she was wonderful....i always told her how much she meant to me and i loved her so much....we would speak on yahoo messenger every day, then after yahoo shut down i added her as a friend on facebook and we kept up the chatting.......in my adult life i unfortunately never made any friendships because ive had mental problems and severe social problems......and joannie reached out to me on yahoo answers at the time because i was asking quaestions about my mental health and pouring my heart out, telling of my situation and joannie reached out to me and we were good friends ever since.



sadly, 8 months ago joannie died of terminal cancer, she was not very well off and got poor health care treatment over there, but she had a good son who looked after her in the end and a sister too...joannie was a follower of jesus as i am, and would always convey her love for jesus and she tried to live according to his teachings and his message.

now joannie is gone, passed over, i feel a deep loss in my heart as she meant such a lot to me and was the dearest friend i'd ever had, she was in her mid 70s when she passed...i talk to my beloved mother about joannie often and how i miss her, life just isn't the same without joannie....i feel a deep loss and miss her a great deal.

my mum tells me joannie will be watching over me from above and i believe that.

hopefully in time i'll live with the loss a bit easier, but for now i still feel deeply upset and miss my dear friend so much.[/i][/c]
