I Miss You

It's the simple things I miss the most
The cute little things you say and do
That not only make you who you are
But make me miss you too

I'll always remember the times we had
All those summer nights
Even the painful bad times
Those times we had our fights

It's so bitter sweet to think of you
It breaks my heart in two
Yet I can't help but smile
Remembering how I loved you

The memories are so vivid
Although it was years ago
I feel like it was yesterday
When you left me feeling low

I know I screwed up that day
And made a huge mistake
But I wish there was some way to tell you
My heart's still yours to take

Maybe someday I'll move on from you
Allow my heart to heal
Until then I'll pretend I'm okay again
Yet these feelings are still so real.
