Hugs are magical 🪄
My coworker made a mistake at work the other week. They were blaming her and I could tell she was upset so I gave her a hug. She's been very appreciative and we've developed a much stronger bond ever since. As simple as that :>

It's true.
Years ago, I saw a sad little poem that a coworker kind of absently jotted down on a napkin while she was on her break. I didn't know her very well, she had just started working there recently. But I felt so bad for her, I wrote another little poem sort of replying to the one she'd written, but saying nice things about her. I left it on the table where she'd left her poem.
About 30 minutes later she saw the poem and came out of the break room with tears in her eyes, and said, "Did you write this?" holding my poem. I said yes, and she said, "Can I give you a hug?" I said yes, we hugged, and we became instant friends.
We later became roommates, and to this day we still keep in touch. 💝
