My ex wife went to the docs many years ago and the docs told her she had Chlamydia- she of course blamed me. Blood tests and intrusive procedures later. Tests came back negative. She tried to convince me it must have been from her ex 10 years previously. I was naive I guess but wanted to believe her. So I took my medicine literally and we carried on.
As it transpires my ex had been cheating on me with her ex husbands brother all through our marriage.
She spent years convincing me I was the problem in the marriage.
In short if you love someone you should forgive and try to make it work. But be warned there is no smoke without fire
