@Fairydust I knew this person online since 2015, but we got close last year. The "uneasy gut feeling" - I ignored it. I'm from India, he's from the UK. Promises to meet me in person, promises to hold my hand when he met me at the airport, promises to signal a gesture that would give me the confidence that he was the real deal, promises to visit places together in my city, promises to get married ~3 years down the line and so promises to never hurt me, promises to show me how a real man treats a woman, promises to never let me go, and so on and so forth. I feel like a complete idiot now. I'm crying my eyes out as I type this :(. The uneasy "gut feeling" is what I ignored and im paying the price for it now.
when they are all words, often that’s all they are. Just words. Never ignore the gut feelings, normally they are right. 🚩 Did you meet him? They just play with your feelings and play games.
He never came to visit me. You are right - they play with your feelings and later they will blame it all on you. Another manipulative tactic of his was "well at least I'm showing an interest. How many people ask you these things about you." @Fairydust Ooh and his good morning texts. "Well at least it's the thought that counts". Lol. He claims to put others before himself but at the end of the day it was ALL ABOUT HIM.
@solitaire unfortunate .. and the problem with such experiences is that it makes one lose trust on any future prospects too... But as in the write-up one should learn to ask and know and not just blindly believe what is said .. and would have helped you if you had taken all of his promises on the lighter side and said .. let's cross the bridge when we come to it ..
