you see, this is actually the problem, cos i have actually had situations like this before, but it just feels so uncomfortable for me cos of my anxiety, and when i think about it possibly developing into a relationship, it puts me off and that's when i push people away!! i mean, i understand what your saying, and i need to push myself, and i do just that, believe me, i never even used to set foot over my front door on my days off from work, and now i go out a lot more and so on, but whenever i try to talk to women, my natural instinct is just to pull away!!

Have you seen a doctor maybe get prescribed anxiety pills?

Have you tried putting yourself out there?

i actually have!! you see, its my issues with anxiety that is the main obstacle, i mean, i do get myself out there as i say, but my problem is that any time i feel like someone is interested in me, i back away!! and yes, i do love myself in case your wondering lol, but for some reason i just cant seem to let anyone in to my life like that!!

I understand. The only way for you to get what you want is to push through. Maybe it's fear of getting rejected or hurt in the end I don't know but if you don't push past it you'll never know what you could have had.

its something iv'e never spoken to my doctor about, but i do go for an annual epilepsy review, and he always asks me how im feeling about myself and so on, so maybe next time i go i'll maybe mention it to him!!
