Something like that happened to me

that doesn't sound dumb, plus you actually met him in person so he became very real to you. it's not unusual to mourn a deep connection you have with someone who means something special to you. not to mention they were there literally for the formative years of your life! that's important!

I've had the same best friend for almost 17 years and havent met and other close friends for the same length and am still friends with my first online boyfriend i had when i was 15-16 and i'm 43 now. lol. Good people are good people and sometimes they are damned hard to come by so when we find them we hang onto them. And when they're gone? We miss them, they become like family to us.

@DancingStarGoddess god… i miss him so much. thank you for making me feel like my feelings are valid🫶🏼

like, we’d be fighting (we did fight a lot not even gonna lie and they were bad fights, we were a lil toxic at times) but we were still there for each other always, all i had to do was message him his name and he’d be like, “are you okay?” & the fighting would pause and he’d make it better, and vice versa. it just sucks. i’m hurting so bad right now.
@glossyheart You are so very welcome!

I understand completely(i'm literally fighting w my best friend lately lol so i get it!) it would be great if he could send up a flare or something to let you know he's alright and living his best life or something so you wouldn't be so worried. Hopefully in time he will pop up for air and check in. Hoping that he does.🙏🏾

i had similar things, i had online friends that i felt super attached to and then they just poof up and gone disappeared!

@popmol
Meeting people online in person seems so depressing to me; it's like having no social skills. I think you should work on that more. Everyone's all should
popmol · 26-30, M
@mazedona mind your own business

@popmol
I'll go wherever I want, that's why you're here, anything bothers you. It doesn't matter if I want to get into your bed
Anything you say makes you feel bad for telling yourself the truth. It's incredibly awful to meet up with people online.
There are much safer places to socialize, and countless cases of people who socialize in this way and end up in a grave.
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
That's not dumb at all. Kids often make fast friends for life right away. It's strange that he would just disappear on you.
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
@glossyheart Apparently, he didn't feel the same way. Possibly. It's possible that his disappearance was not his own choice.
glossyheart · 22-25, F
@DunningKruger yea & the simple fact that he might’ve not felt the same way… destroys me, hurts so bad. i do take comfort in knowing he didn’t just leave me but left alll of his crew, his entire friend group, it was not just me so that makes me feel a lot better.
still hurts like hell.
thank you for listening to my rant.
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
@glossyheart I have been there. I've had people just disappear on me when we appeared to be so close. It's hurtful, not knowing. I'd rather have someone storm out and saying that they will never speak to me again and mean it.

maybe you'll find him again you're probably just lonely
WanderingHelplessly · 51-55, M
I'm not judging you. You had a connection that was broken without closure
glossyheart · 22-25, F
@WanderingHelplessly i’ve had the worst week of my life & all i want is him. he knew everything about me & god, it hurts.
CloudDweller · 22-25, M
I can understand the way you feel right now but certain people want to keep a low profile when it comes to social media and internet.
