I went back after almost 4 decades.
I found my first love and made a go of it.
I screwed it all up in 3 years.
Same amount of time we went together back then.
It surely wasn’t as pure and simple as it was back then.
It’s over now and I’m pretty much done thinking I’ll do anything more romantic than die alone now.
Not anytime soon, but alone.
