My own daughter told me today that i could not visit........her husband is forbidding it, this it going way too far.

That’s ridiculous. If my daughter said I couldn’t come see my grandkids I’d disown her. She wouldn’t but if she did if this ever blows over first time she wanted Something or a baby sitter. No way.
