My own daughter told me today that i could not visit........her husband is forbidding it, this it going way too far.

Actually no,its not. What they are doing is an act of love in that if they have somehow contracted it, they do not want to pass it on to you. Your in the higher risk category and they would feel awful if it did happen that they gave it to you, and you subsequently got very sick from it.
Look at it not as an act of separation, but one of care.
