Loved ones....my career had a couple of fortunate occurrences:
I worked for a company for over 20 years, and my Mother got ill just at the time they went out of business, so I was able to take care of her and spend time with her before she passed.
After I retired, my Mother-in-law fell ill and I was a caregiver for her for a few years before she passed.
The timing worked out very well, and I was glad to be able to be there for both of them when they needed someone to be there.
