Sadly my fiancé died in an accident. It was hard but thanks to family, friends and a wonderful grief councillor I got through it.
Anniedlr · 26-30, F
@Monalisasmith86 I have yet to find anyone to replace him
Monalisasmith86 · 36-40, F
@Anniedlr aren’t you a bit young to lose a fiancé
Anniedlr · 26-30, F
@Monalisasmith86 I don’t think 25 was to young to have a fiancé 🙂

I have lost friends grandparents, parents, friends in combat, and my son to suicide when he was 21 and in the Army. Losing my son was the worst pain ever, and something I will never get over.

I hate the idea of get over when death takes a friend or loved one because there is no getting over it. You just learn to live and cope with the loss and only focus on the good times, laughs, and love that you shared with them. Hold onto those moments in time and You will heal and learn to cope with it, but you will never get over the loss.

That is the terrible price we pay in this life-Loss! Loss of youth and innocence and loved ones then eventually our own lives. So, love laugh and remember all the good times shared.

Grief counseling!

Everyday! My parents .
Neither passed with any doubt i was their loving daughter. They were my everything after they adopted me . You never get over it . I try to honor them with my behavior, and to pass on what i learned from them to my kids.

@TexChik I know your story and bless you! I love that you do those things to honor them too.

@WillaKissing I know you have endured the unendurable. May God bless your son!

Nurse time.

Nurse time can be a wonderful effective healer but ultimately she is not a surgeon so cannot remove the root cause of your pain, just make it almost benign.
I am sorry for your loss. 😓 I really hope you can express things to anyone in future.

I've never really gotten over it, but as time passes the pain eases. You never forget, but the remembering becomes less insistent and less painful.
That person is still with you, inside of you. You can always tell them how much they mean to you. Just tell them.

Oh gosh, I’m sorry to hear that. 🥺
I've lost maybe 5 people last 4 years. I don't even get to process it.
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
The pain does ease after a while, maybe months, maybe years, but you never stop missing them. 😢
lostlissa · 36-40, F
I haven't gotten over it yet
TexChik · F
