You have totally blown me away! 😂😍
Dear SW friends,
I am back now and doing well.
I am totally overwhelmed by all the love and sweet "get well soon" notes I received. I really don't know how to thank you all, you touched my heart so deeply. I love each and every one of you and I cannot thank you enough for all the well wishes, kind messages, and prayers.
The tests actually came back a little confusing, for the simple fact that they waited way too long to give me the MRI to see if I had a stroke.
An MRI done soon after a suspected stroke, is generally better for identifying an acute stroke and determining when it occurred. An MRI done weeks later can still show evidence of an old stroke, but the appearance is different and some small infarcts may be harder to detect. And this matters for what happened with my MRI.
I had my MRI on July 7, after stroke-like episodes I had in late May. That's roughly five weeks later. My doctor still says she thinks I had a TIA, given my symptoms, but I'm just thanking God that it wasn't worse and it was caught early. The doctor now has me on medication to prevent a large stroke or blood clots.
Thanks again and God bless you all. I'm glad to be back. I believe it was your prayers that got me here again. ♥🙏
