There are people who are willing to be there for you, and people who expect you to chase them in order to be there for you

I think the right choice is obvious.

You should choose the first.

It is not that you need to rely on others, sometimes just knowing that it is possible to have their support is enough, without having to ask and compete and prove you need it, prove it is important.

Is care even worth it if you have to teach people to care about you?

It is not genuine.

I hope you understand that one day.

I’m not sure if I understand?
Is this about RL or is this about SW?

In RL people are either there for you or they’re not.

On this site people are all just random for the most part. They offer words of support and encouragement as they can and as time allows them, I think.

I never place any expectations on anyone here for anything. I try to appreciate supportive words or any positive feedback I get on my posts and I try to be positive on the posts of others.

I’ve never felt as if anyone expected me to compete or prove myself, and I certainly wouldn’t want anyone to feel like they needed to do that for my attention either.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding what you’re trying to convey?

Good question to ponder 😊

I disagree,

The people who expect you to chase them for them to be there for you, still aren't there for you...

No matter how much you chase

@Fishy That's what I am saying. You should not be chasing and teaching people to "care".

But this post , though, is written for someone in particular to be honest and I hope they understand my point.
