Okay, listen up

Platonic love shows up in so many ways. Think about childhood friends who’ve basically been through everything together: they hype each other up, help through rough patches, and are always there without any romantic drama. Or mentors and mentees who actually care. From giving advice, backing each other, and keeping things respectful and steady.

Even the everyday stuff counts: roommates who look out for each other, split chores, and check in like family; siblings who are your go‑to for jokes, fights, and late‑night talks; coworkers who hang out after work, give real feedback, and watch each other’s backs. And then there’s queerplatonic relationships, people who choose each other in a big, committed way without it being romantic. It’s all just different flavors of love that aren’t about romance but feel just as deep.

Yes, ofcourse.
Of course. I dearly love my best friend. She’s like the sister I never had.
AwesomusPrime · 36-40, M
@bijouxbroussard your sisters are going to disown you when they see this, or is it just the one sister that's younger..? 🤔 Either way, she's going to be very upset 😁
@AwesomusPrime Yes, just the younger one who’s problematic. The middle one I’ll keep. She likes my best friend, too. 😄

Very much so.
I love the platonic solids, does that count??

Fun fact: the cube and octahedron are "duals" of each other in that they each have a face where the other has a vertex, and vice versa. The icosahedron & dodecahedron are also duals in the same way. And the tetrahedron? It is its own dual!!

Yeah I think is still a thing
Wiseacre · F
It is to me..
Allelse · 36-40, M
Nah. These days its all rape and power dynamics and grooming. It's best to just take off into the mountains to love in a case.
ABCDEF7 · M
Yes, It depends on you/us.
SoulJourney · 26-30, F
Yes it's there, because we fall in love with the soul of the person and that doesn't have to be always romantic.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
Platonic love is too broad.

There's no such thing as all incompassing love. No one is perfect. Not even deities.

Everything is subject to change, even change itself.
I don't know about platonic love. But Flat Tonic love is still alive and kicking!! 🤣

That’s how you feel for your friends, I suppose.
faery · F
It's probably more of a 'thing' than romantic love
Adogslife · 61-69, M
That’s a hard line not to cross; but, it is possible if both parties don’t burn too hot at the same time.
