Do you think you're hard to love?

Someone asked me if I’m hard to love.

Then asked when the last time was that someone said they loved me romantically.

I realized its been over a decade. Maybe I am hard to love, I don't know. never really thought about it before.

You’re definitely not hard to love. You’re kind. Compassionate. Warm. Generous and a great communicator. The foundation love is built on. So, it’s not a you thing. Trust me on that.

I don’t think I’m hard to love. But I do I think it’s hard for me to reciprocate love in some cases and that can cause some issues. And if I’m being painfully honest, I haven’t felt the true aura of romantic love in a good number of years…far too many for me to admit. But I try to convince myself that that’s okay. Just like I try to convince myself it’s okay if I never feel that aura touch my skin again. Some days it’s hard to accept though.
