What's the difference between loving someone and being in love?

By @Sapio
ABCDEF7 · M
Loving someone is when you have the feeling of love for someone.

Being in love is when you are living in the feeling of love, so much so you loses feeling of your own existence.
@ABCDEF7 good answer

Loving someone can be romantic or platonic and entails having empathy, respect, and care. Being in love is a romantic and emotional preoccupation; it can be a temporary emotion that may grow or diminish. The feeling of loving someone can last a lifetime.
Loving is a choice. Being in love… not so much. You just do with no rhyme or reason.

It's all same love but even love has types so ig loving someone can be ofcourse different types just like different types of love and so many different types of emotions but then we can be in love with someone just like that , being in love with them means losing yourself still just can't stop loving, it feels so complex to me though love is simple and it should be but well I'm yet to experience this form of true love

@NoGamesTolerated you know me and you still love me. 🤪
@Ambroseguy80 of course…
I guess the depth of which you are consumed.. in love is being immersed in it whereas just love can be platonic or from a distance even not an obsession..
