Probably yes -- the earlier in the relationship the more likely.
However, in a long established relationship, I tend to ask my husband before contemplating an exit.
"I notice we haven't shared many kisses or cuddles in the last couple of weeks. I'm wondering if you're feeling angry or resentful about anything. Would you be willing for us to talk about it?"
Then it's my turn to really listen and check that I understand.
