Only that my heart may one day be broken.
According to my funny, quirky wife, the colour of love is turquoise. If my duvet at boarding school had not been the "right colour", she would never have sat on my bed with me during my first, lonely night away from home.

We became friends on my first day at school at the age of 7 and we shared dorms until we left at the age of 18 . . I learned early on that bed linen and pyjamas had to coordinate if we were to remain friends! When we were 14 someone joked that we were so close that we ought to get married. L took this very seriously, but it was another 14 years until we could do that for real.
