What is LOVE

Not sure I ever had it. So want your version of what it is. I was raised in a household where that was not said or shown. My so called father hit my mother everyday and I think that's why I attract the worst kind of men. I think that true love is only felt for one’s children. Otherwise there’s always a certain degree of fickleness to it. Someone feeling a sense of duty towards me feels better than love.
