If you've talked to me for awhile you'll notice I disappear every now and then without notice. I don't need to explain anything to anyone when I need space so yeah

I used to... Now I think it's just the wrong thing to do.

Maybe to the one's you are closest with. Yeah, let them know. The rest of the world, there's no purpose to it. Like SW is a good example. There's maybe 7 people I talk to online. Doing phone calls and keeping up with them every now and then etc... Of those 7 only 2 frequent SW somewhat. I've lost contact with everyone else, because I don't find myself having the energy to keep up with a place like SW that I see in a mostly boring kind of a light... So really there's no need for goodbye's other than private ones. I recognize public goodbyes as being a mistake from my past. Really all it does is stir unnecessary emotions. And creates a false sense of detachment... Usually, people end up making you feel guilty to some capacity even if that's not their intent, that's the atmosphere it creates for the one intending to leave, and then it can hinder you from actually accomplishing any of your goals in correlation with moving on.

And so, I've concluded that a few private goodbyes, and letting them know an estimated return date to when you'll be back works out far better. It's not like leaving is for the sake of attention anyway. Taking breaks is what the mind and soul needs to recharge from the mess of places like this. I've never been able to accomplish goals when speaking about them out loud. They tend to get accomplished better when you keep everything to yourself. It's a learning lesson in life I suppose.

When I'm out with my bestie, we always go home at the same time, when I'm out with a big group, I tend to bugger off, I hate saying goodbye to everyone, it takes ages and it's a chore. However, once I get home I send a text to the most popular person in the group to say I got home safe.

If I know they're gonna freak out.
I tell people I'm talking to that I need to leave for a while, if that's what you mean. I don't just leave them hanging.
