I had a friend many years ago that was a heavy smoker. When he was 40, he had a heart attack. He lived but continued to smoke. His wife was a runner and coach. Guess who lived the longest. I hope your health improves and your friend will see the benefits of non-smoking. His death will probably not happen until years of pain and bed life. Good luck.

I’m pretty sure your family members are wondering why aren’t you strong enough to cut all contacts with him. You can’t because it’s an addiction. It is as hard for him to let go of smoking.

Smoking is a habit and a very important in some people I have copd which is bad but it’s may only pleasure in life it will and hopefully he will realise it’s that or nothing
