Would you as a straight person date a trans man/woman?

Especially interested in the answers of people who consider trans women/men to be genuine members of that gender.

There's a possibility that, like the famous scene in the film 'The Crying Game', you could fall seriously in love with a beautiful woman, only to find out in the throes of passion that she has a penis.

It's definitely a complicated situation, because, like the main character in that film, he'd already fallen heavily in love with the person before he realised that she was a he. As a straight man, I sometimes wonder what I'd do if I developed feelings for someone I originally thought was a female from birth, only to discover they were trans. Should a trans person immediately declare their situation to any potential suitors?
