How do you know someone still loves his/her ex?

I feel like my entire relationship is a lie.
It hurts a lot.
My BF still contacts his ex knowing it hurts me.

People get into relationships for some reasons. It looks like his was just to have some company. If the relationship is convenient for you, stay. At least you know what to expect.
