is it even worth dating when i am unable to be intimate?

maybe i should just accept that i'm not the type of person who can find love?

I think just accept it, if that's what experience leads to your concluding, though it seems very early at that age to reach such a firm conclusion, I think.

@PhilDeep that's gonna be a very long and painful road to walk i feel like. but i think its my only option to be honest

@spider240 Being abused and having your trust broken hurts more, as does struggling to cope when you're in need of your own resources with little extra to spare when a lot extra is realistically needed for commitment, in my opinion.

@PhilDeep i'm sure that's true. but from the standpoint of a person who's touched staved and obsesses about having a relationship constantly i feel like i'd be happier if i at least could get to the point where i could be heartbroken. the grass is always greener on the other side right?

@spider240 I think sufficient experience to truly know the difference between reality and fantasy is worth a bit of pain, the you can see both sides of the fence.
