Should he be paying?

My boyfriend of two years recently invited me to a concert. I said that I would love to go with him. He then proceeded to say tickets are $50, and that if I’ll be taking my brothers car. In my mind when I agreed, I thought he was offering to take me with him. Am i wrong for thinking that or is that how it usually goes? He usually pays when he invites. I’d ask him about it. I wouldn’t be offended, but also nobody has done anything for me in many years. You’ve been together awhile, I’m sure you could ask him. Maybe there’s a reason he didn’t trouble you with.
