Should he be paying?

My boyfriend of two years recently invited me to a concert. I said that I would love to go with him. He then proceeded to say tickets are $50, and that if I’ll be taking my brothers car. In my mind when I agreed, I thought he was offering to take me with him. Am i wrong for thinking that or is that how it usually goes? He usually pays when he invites. But this time he isn’t but wants me there

I don't like the world we're expected to accept now.... so many rules have changed and so many people just don't seem to be what they once were or were supposed to be.

If someone invites me to a movie, a dinner or a concert, I'd be thinking it's a date and he's paying.... but once he told you the price, I get the idea he wants you to pay your own way.
If it were me, I'd stay home. lol
I don't think a man should go broke for dates, but then...they shouldn't invite someone as a date if they can't afford it. And as for the car, let him take a taxi or public transportation! lol

@SW-User The only men/boys that are worth your time from a relationship stand point, except Just a friend", should always pay for a date.
