How would you know if you fall out of love?

How would you know if you really fall out of love that the feelings is completely gone? That you won’t miss the person if you really won’t see each other again.

I think it’s when you no longer care if they are happy or sad anymore. They could be having the worst day of their lives and you just go “meh!”
