How would you know if you fall out of love?

How would you know if you really fall out of love that the feelings is completely gone? That you won’t miss the person if you really won’t see each other again.

I’ve only been in love twice. And I never really fell out. My husband died, but the pain has finally been replaced with warm memories. With the second, things didn’t work out, but my feelings about him are still affectionate.
