A Moving Story...the GOOD Guy from Stanley Steemer
I had Stanley Steemer in to steam clean the upholstery on my chairs. The two workers decided to move the chairs down to their truck, because they have a more powerful suction operating from the truck than my apartment's electricity could provide.
I was kidding around and told them to be sure to check for any immensely valuable cat toys they might find inside the recliner chair...🤣
When they came back upstairs with my chairs, I asked again if they had found any valuable cat toys, 😉 and one of the workers told me the following story:
He was working for an older couple one day, and they were moving the sofa outside to the truck to clean it. All of a sudden he heard the sound of something metal clinking inside the sofa. He gave the sofa a shake, and a beautiful woman's engagement ring fell out of the sofa. 💍💍💍
He showed the ring to the woman for whom he was working, to ask if it was hers, and she burst into tears!!!!
When her emotions subsided, she informed the worker that she and her husband had been married 20 years previously. Right after their marriage, they left on their honeymoon, and then came home to the same house where they still live.
One week after they returned home, she lost her engagement ring, and they looked for it everywhere, but never found it.
She told him she had been devastated by the loss, completely heart broken, because the ring meant so much to her.
The worker from Stanley Steemer told me the ring had fallen down inside the sofa, and then had caught on the cloth mesh with which the sofa was enclosed underneath. I could feel myself tearing up a little bit just hearing about her loss, and the joyous moment when the ring was returned to her.
I asked permission to repeat this story, because I wanted to share that heartwarming feeling. 😊😊😊
