Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with

water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. (Ephesians 5:25-28).

That doesn’t always work in a family where both husband and wife work full time and share responsibilities. In 2022 that happens a lot :)

@justanothername What does work have to do with the roles inside a marriage?
@justanothername We have to get out of this monetarized system where everything is about work and competing to keep up with the Joneses.

@RocktheHouse if you want to own a house, eat food, drive a car then you need to work. Living off the grid is not for everyone. Many people prefer comfort and convenience and that often requires both husband and wife to work.

@justanothername Which again has what to do with the order in the home?

@hippyjoe1955 If you both work similar hours in similar jobs - say he’s a teacher she’s a cop, how do you divide jobs and responsibilities at home?

Or you both teach or a both nurses.

@justanothername Hmmmm I don't see where Paul wrote it was the woman's job to wash the dishes and the man's job to chop the wood do you? Not sure why you keep avoiding the obvious. Wives submit to your husbands. Husbands love your wives.
