What is your definition of love and why?

Love is lying in bed next to your partner and thinking to yourself, “I could smother you with my pillow and get away with it”, but you get up and make them pancakes instead.

Love is like a living jewel with many, many shining facets. It's a jewel that was created by God, and then placed inside our hearts and minds, either to wither or grow. Love IS God incarnate.

It's when a mother looks down at her baby, and loses herself in love for this, her child...and realizes she would die to protect him.

It's when a child looks at her parents and finds them amazing and kind and admirable, and finds that she needs them so much she is incomplete without them.

It is generosity and patience and tolerance and kindness toward our neighbors, or toward strangers.

It is that spark of initial attraction between a man and a woman that begins to grow into something more permanent, like a tender seedling sprouting its first leaf.

It is the realization that even though your partner has changed, and is no longer the same young person whom you first loved, you want to take care of him or her when they are sick, cook for them, feed them, support them in every way you can.

It is family, and all the ways that family is close and connected. It is the tree of life.

You can't define it. You feel and give it.
Love is that which consciously nurtures the wellbeing of life.
From loving actions, loving feelings arise.

Love is wanting to give with out the possibility of receiving it in return.
So taxes. Taxes are love.
When there's no other option to not love them.
