I set myself up to be hurt

My boyfriend and i were playing around and i said "i love you more than you love me" and he said "yeah, you probably do. Im not even gonna lie."

I'm really sad.

I didn't say anything. We finished playing our game (PS5) and went to bed together he started hugging me / paying more attention to me than usual and took it back. Said it came out wrong and we love each other the same amount.

First of all, that like punching somebody in the fist with your nose. Second, as should be obvious there is no way to objectively demonstrate what you claimed about who loves whom more.

Don’t say shit like that, there’s no way it ends well, and it’s incredibly rude to your boyfriend. He didn’t handle it well because there’s no way to handle it well.
