If your first date wasnt that great does that mean it wont work out ever?

Not at all. Not all great things start out with a bang. My current bf and I were initially friends but had a falling out where we didn't speak for a considerable amount of time. But we reconnected after a year or so of not speaking and we've been in a relationship for over two years. And things between us are pretty great.

Sometimes it takes being in a different place and looking at someone with a different perspective.

No, it doesn't. It means that there are some things to work out, but a first date is not indicative of how future dates will go.

@Bri89 Thank u

Sometimes you have to listen to your inner voice telling you what's what. Too many times it's easy to keep persisting though the red flags keep advising to pack up your sanity and try it with someone else who could be a better match. Ultimately, you know the answer to your questions you just have to make the choice to listen and not overthink it.

@iQuit ok so i guess i know what it is..

@Number5 deep down yes. It's insane sometimes you could be lost but step back and pretend in was someone else going through it what would you suggest them to do? Then why wouldn't you listen to your own thought of reason ?

It really depends on what you mean by "wasn't that great"...

Did you make a less than stellar first impression or climb through their window after they said goodnight at the door?
Number5 · 22-25, M
@LucyFuhr well i think i was uncomfortable and she was too.. Umm there came a point when it got a lil uncomfortable for the both of us. And idk since i met het for the first time i wasnt sure how to be around her coz it wasnt just a date.. We were already gf and bf but meeting for like the 2nd time but this time it was with stronger feelings and everything.

@LucyFuhr ummm sooo no comment? Lol

@Number5 The first few "in person" dates are high pressure situations even if you've known them online for years. A little awkwardness is expected. As long as neither of you pulled any dick moves like texting at the table or trying to pick up the waitstaff, give it another try.

It takes at least 3 dates to get a real feel.

It doesn’t guarantee anything. Anyone can make a bad first impression.

@nedkelly 😅😅😅 thats fast
Fluffybull · F
Of course not! Lots of couples have disastrous first dates. A lot of them are still together and probably look back and laugh 🥰😉
elafina · 36-40, F
Could be the opposite, a great few good dates that evolve into something fruitless!
SW-User
Didn't get none, huh?
