In what situation did he tell you this? Was he saying it to hurt you or make you jealous or did he say it in context during an open and honest discussion about the topic of attraction?

@basicgirl12 in that case it doesn't sound unreasonable to me, just honest and realistic. You can't help your feelings but I hope the hurt soon fades and it doesn't harm your relationship.
