How do you write a short story?
I have to write a 4-6 page story for class this week and have bo idea how I’ll do it. The shortest story I’ve ever written has been 30 pages and I have no idea how to write something so short!

write that story! Write about a fella who has to write a story for class and can't figure out how to do it.
do the all the brain storming of ideas that don't fly,
put in plot hooks like dog has to be let out again! and my pen just died,
build up to the climax of the night before the assignment is due and the writer still has writers block
have the person show up to class with no assigned writing but having to read his story in front of the whole class---class staring / build the suspense of his blank sheets of paper.
have him walk up and run a monologue on how he didn't couldn't do the assignment and during his rambling he realizes the others think he is talking about his short story.
so he starts flipping his blank pages pretending to read while he rambles on why he didn't write a story and at some random point on page 5 says "the end" and gets a verbal A from the teacher--but of course she asks for his sheets of paper so she can write his verbal grade on his "written" master piece.
