We set the world afire
Igniting the flames
Burning too quickly
In our desires

As the flame extinguished
As well as our love
I find it hard to find in the tinder
All that became engulfed behind us
So I build on smoking scars
As I devolve into the ashes
Where I can defeat this pain
And live again renewed
And rise again as
Phoenix
