I remember my dad always bought the cheaper Hydrox cookies, they looked just like Oreos, I ended up preferring them over Oreo 🤔
Same thing for cereal , we had the store brand Frosted Flakes

One of my mother's favorite meals was making fried chicken. Every time she would say how much she wished she had one of those Farberware electric fry pans. For her birthday, I bought one for her. She was so happy it was like I bought her a new car!. She used that frying pan forever. I think it was the best present I ever gave her. It's such a cherished memory.

@FreeSpirit1 After cooking, she would clean it and leave it out on display. She was so proud of it. 🥰

Being out back with my mom. We had a trellis and mulberries and blackberries and I remember plucking them off and eating them. Not sure how little I was, but I remember looking at her and thinking how pretty she was - she had very blonde hair and the sun was behind her. After, we ate honeysuckles and opened up maple seeds to put them on our noses \ look silly.

She died 10 years ago, but I still dream about her sometimes.

I prefer Hydrox over Oreo's too. Somehow Oreo's are just too sweet. (Is that even possible???? 🤣)
Usually Hydrox in our house too if there were store bought cookies and the cerealsin the bags at times instead of the national brands in boxes

Buying name brand stuff was always a special treat. It was the store brand or next level down.
