That’s how I’m feeling right now

No I actually prefer this half of the life. I'm yet to be 40 but looking forward to it. It's more peaceful here, you appreciate time and life more, and idk, my youth was not mine, so I finally get to decide about my life and I love that. I hope you find what you're looking for.
Just remember that daily moments are 80% of life and if you make that better(appreciate them more), your life will be better.
I chased peace, ex chased different from the daily routine until it was an option.

My later 40s are becoming kinder to me. Part of it is that I've been investing heavily into meaningful hobbies. I spend a lot of time as a podcaster and music maker, and then volunteering in my union. This has helped tremendously with my sense of purpsoe and meaning.
I feel that way in my 50's.

My life is perhaps a lot more "empty" than most... but i am the happiest i have ever been.

Do you feel if you got something else or something " more" you would even be satisfied with that or is it something you feel isn't attainable?
@DancingStarGoddess at the moment,it isn’t attainable

I don’t think I defined it that well. I only knew I’d come up to a sort of empty chasm and had to figure out what to do now. All this was there though. I settled on peaceful thrills, quiet new hobbies, gentle changes. Focused on the stuff that fed my soul. Life got better eventually. I don’t know why anyone says you only live once. It feels like I’ve had half a dozen lives already.

"What you want" is going to vary far more by personality than by age. Just don't seek advice from that Morden guy.
