April 3rd: Silent Echo

I don’t chase what doesn’t choose me.

Not because I don’t feel it,
but because I do.

Some things don’t leave all at once.
They echo…
in the quiet moments,
in the way my breath shifts
when I’m not expecting it.

I’ve known what it’s like
to be met…
to be felt…
to be wanted without hesitation.

And once you’ve known that,
you don’t settle into silence
and call it enough.

So I let it exist as it is -
not denied,
not pursued.

Just an echo
of something that mattered…

Still soft,
still present,
and sometimes,
still something I feel drawn toward…
