I feel like my time here has expired...

Life has changed so much for me in the last 4 years but for the better.
I remember I had joined ep back in 2013 ish because I was so lonely, needed an outlet and the opportunity to try to connect to others.

And in return I made some really amazing lifelong friends so much so when it closed I knew I wanted to come here.

2 friendships in particular blossomed so much we met in person. It was so easy/natural, it was so relaxed it truly was the best thing.

As my life has changed I find I'm less focused on wanting to be on the Internet.

I can conclude that I am immensely happy, everyday I wake up happy and singing. Why, because I'm not working in a hell hole. I'm also bombarded daily with affection from my beautiful dog, who makes my heart explode.

I feel like over the years the friendships I've made here and the advice offered has really helped to better prepare me for the world. And I am truly grateful.

I also hope that in return I've been a beacon of light for others.

I don't know if I'll ever delete this account, but I have found myself a little too tired so that's why I visit so infrequently mostly hearting posts and questions.

It helps in a similar way to what you described. I haven’t put in the effort to specifically make friends with people. We don’t DM, but I value our exchanges. We’ve still gotten to know each other through the fragments of comments over the years. Weird to think it’s actually been years since I started using SW. I’m on here less when I’m busy and more on ‘pain days’ when I need a ‘no spoons’ distraction. Ever since the pandemic my social life and recreational life has been in a weird place.

I’m really excited about this upcoming year though we’re all finally regularly be out and about doing what I love, learning about what I love, being around people share my passions and helping others again. If all goes well, I won’t be on here very much, but that’s OK. Hopefully, every once in a while, I can pop in, shoot the shit with a few familiar, usernames, and post something positive.
Or… things will go differently than I hope lol and SW will be where I periodically vent 😆

@WhateverWorks i hear you and I am so with you on this.
I think a healthier mentality comes when you live in the real world. Yes it's expensive but sometimes just being around people that make you feel good is all you need.
I remember reading some advice about getting fitter. It basically says socialise with those that eat better especially during g lunch breaks at work, ask if you can join a sports activity with them. And dedicate a day every other week until you feel its for you.
It's about putting yourself in the drivers seat but also at a level to which you feel you can obtain and sustain.

I'm wishing you luck. You're a lovely person.
