Why does it feel like infidelity?

Taking Friday off to go to interview at a different place.

I´ve been there.
It may feel so, yes. It´s fueled by our team spirit.
It´s not anyhow.
A job partnership is not of the same nature of a love one, IMO.

@ElRengo I know, but 20 years is like 20 times longer than marriage was even. Seems kinda weird to leave it for something better.

True. But consider looking at it from the other extreme of your analogy.
We shoudn´t hope for a long marriage when there is "love" but no more being in love.
If there is something better, it´s time to say good bye.
Not because the "other one".
Cos IMO staying for what is not the best for both is a worst betrayal to the nature of relationships than leaving.

@ElRengo fair point. It'll all work out the way it does in the end.

Take it please with caution, is just the personal view I´ve learned after years of not so good experiences.
Not necessarily should be aplied to others.
It´s not only and perhaps not mainly about my own best interests.
I say.......be in love or leave.
So if a partnership or a job.
