I Write What I Feel

There is a flower,
that doesn’t show its petals,
that stoops down to the ground from where it grows,
that keeps itself bowed, doesn’t show its beauty,
or what it holds within...pure as white, it blooms,
not caring what or how others judge it,
how it is perceived by the gaze of the on-lookers
and the passerbys.

I want to be it.
I want to be a snowdrop
living softly
gently
noiselessly.
