How do you manage someone who craves both love and freedom?

How do you know when to hold them tight, and when to let them go?

How do you not fence them in, and yet leave them feeling like they have a home?

And what if they have a hard time voicing how they feel?

Is it possible?

Is there a way?

Patience and understanding are all I can come up with, and those are what I try.

The hardest part seems to be knowing whether they are of benefit or not.

If someone wants freedom let them go totally. Part of love sometimes means less freedom. You cannot have all of your cake and eat it too. Love is selfless and total freedom can be selfish despending on circumstances.
Both desires might not be totally compatible.

If you are the one loving this person the best thing that you can do is to first love and protect yourself. If you become a shell of your former self due to this " love" then you won't be good for anyone. I have love for some people that I don't often talk to because it is not best.
You can love some one from close or far or inbetween. Just let them know you love them and let them be free.

Do not place your totally happiness on an indefinite hold worrying.
You have one life to live.
