In my quiet moments, I think back with gratitude and remember our honest communication. The connection and chemistry that so quickly and easily thrummed between us like an electric current. I used to imagine what it would be like to be together, to talk and laugh and smile and linger then touch, embrace, transcend the intimacy from emotional to physical and find our release.
I no longer fantasize about moments like that, but I am grateful to have felt what I did, to have experienced that kind of connection even if it wasn’t anything more than a dream.
