I Love to Write Poems and My Feelings

I am very interested in writing poetry but I don’t know where to start. I want to write poetry because I think it’s a very creative way to express your thoughts or ideas. I want to work on writing down my thoughts. I think a journal will be a great way to start. I want to really dig deep within myself and share how I really feel with others on here. Any help or suggestions on this topic will be greatly appreciated.

well, two things people have said to me about poetry that i think of when i try to write it:

1. poetry is about expressing your feelings
2. poetry doesn't have to rhyme (though i think it's fun when it does too)
