I HEARD BACK FROM A PUBLISHER

who knows .. the ones that got involved with my dad's other book sure were big time scammers lied and said they were from penguin publishers (they weren't) ripped him off 6k or more and was trying to talk him into spending thousands more on some book fair promotion but i think he finally caught onto them that they were lying scammers leading him on with false stories.. he went with a different company now ..

Who is the publisher? If they want you to pay to be published it is a scam.
